vítejte v Baru, který neexistuje a zároveň na těchto „neexistujících“ stránkách, kterým jste právě vdechli život. Povedlo se Vám totiž za pomoci informačních technologií vyřešit novodobou formu šifry, tzv. QR kód (Quick response code), který Vás přepojil na tento veřejně nepřístupný komunikační kanál.

Možná se Vám také podařilo ve změti písmen a čísel na první straně menu odhalit sdělení, které představuje nevyslovený název celého konceptu – Skryté poklady 20. a 30. let. Trochu odlišná perspektiva meziválečné doby, do které svým stylem spadá i náš Bar, nakonec souzněla s našimi požadavky na výběr poutavých, ale ne úplně ohraných fenoménů. Mezi 22 koktejly jsou tak zastoupeny umělecké směry a hnutí, díla, jména, objevy i události, které nám učarovaly a potkaly se v nejrůznějších spojitostech s jednotlivými drinky.

P. S. Hned na začátek ještě malé vysvětlení. Proč do toho vlastně taháme nějaké šifry? Za jeden z fenoménů tehdejší doby se dá bezpochyby považovat i kryptografie neboli šifrování. Ačkoliv kódování zpráv probíhalo od nepaměti, a většinou máme tuto disciplínu spojenou spíše s vojenskou komunikací, zejména v éře dočasného míru mezi 1. a 2. světovou válkou zaznamenal tento obor velký boom. Ještě složitější matematické metody, mechanické kódovací stroje v čele s Enigmou nebo kryptologické organizace jsou jen malým výčtem tehdejšího pokroku…

Using information technologies you managed to break modern form of cipher, so called QR code (Quick Response code), which has redirected you to this private communication channel.

You might have also been able to find a message hidden in a mess of letters on the first page of the menu. This message represents the unspoken name of whole concept of the menu – Hidden treasures of the 20s and 30s. This somewhat different perspective of the interwar period, which inspired the style of our bar, eventually resonated with our request of choosing interesting yet not hackneyed phenomena. Among 22 cocktails there are artistic directions and movements, names, discoveries and events that have us captivated and that have met in all sorts of connections with our drinks.

P.S. One more explanation to begin with. Why are we messing with some ciphers? Cryptography or encryption is undoubtedly considered to be one of the phenomena of that interwar period. Even though messages have been encoded since time immemorial and we usually connect this discipline with military communication, this field has experienced massive development in the interwar period between WWI and WWII. More complicated mathematic methods, mechanical coding machines such as Enigma or cryptography organisations are only few parts of the progress of that period.
